No and thank you, please, I ain't lost, I'm just wandering...

Unbelievable. Even when airbending is the only bending she has access to, she still has trouble with it. It had worked perfectly when she needed to save Mako, so why couldn't she do it now?

Tenzin, of course, had plenty to say on that, and it'd almost felt like that first week she lived in the city again. She'd brushed him off with a terse "whatever" and left the island as quickly as she could.

Why Korra had decided to make the old probending arena her new place of solace, she has no idea. The irony of picking the arena to mull over her lost bending doesn't escape her, but at least the place is quiet, the general populace kept out during its reconstruction. Coming here usually gives her a couple hours of alone-time--a couple hours that would be extremely welcome after that air bending lesson. Korra takes a seat high up in the stands, tilting her head up until she can stare through the broken dome of the roof. Though it isn't raining, the sky is grey and cloudy in what Korra considers a perfect reflection of her current mood.

[ she'd come looking when tenzin had told her that korra had seemingly disappeared. it was worrying -- especially for the airbending master, she knew, because he'd been trying to juggle some many things at once. they all were. the attack with amon might be over, but there was too much that needed to happen in republic city for anyone to get the opportunity to get any downtime.

she doesn't know why she goes to the probending arena first, but it's the closest to her on the list of places she and bolin draw up for where korra might frequent. it's strange being back here when it looks nothing more than the hollow shell of what it once was. but she's overseeing it's rebuilding -- or at least, future industries is and she's easily able to get a key in to go to the place.

it's quiet and it doesn't seem like there's a single soul in sight, but the brunette figures there's no harm in checking: ]

Korra? It's me, Asami! [ her voice echoes throughout the empty stadium and she tries again. ] Are you in here?

[He had run into Asami later, after she'd spoken to Tenzin but before she actually went looking for Korra, and she'd updated him on their missing avatar situation. It didn't surprise him as much as it worried him, because out of everyone who returned to Republic City after the whole Amon ordeal, he felt like Korra was having the hardest time adjusting. Maybe that was him assuming too much, maybe Korra was actually fine, but his gut tells him otherwise.

So when Asami finds him, asks him to help her look, he doesn't even take the time to think about it.

Walking into the old arena is a little spooky, something about the shell of the place that meant so much to him, that still means so much to him. And as they walk inside with everything so dark and empty and still in shambles, it sends a chill down his spine. He keeps walking through when Asami calls out, looking around to see if he could spot her.]

Korra?

[ She jumps slightly, not expecting there to be a real response from anywhere in the arena. But actually finding the Water tribe girl is something of a relief and a small smile works it way onto her face as she turns to where she's heard the voice coming from. She nudges Bolin to come walk in that direction with her so they could properly go talk to Korra. ]

What were you doing here? [ she can suspect the answer already, but regardless, the arena wasn't exactly the best place to be. ]
rockinbolin: (oh ouch okay)

[Bolin's not as surprised at the response, only because he was expecting (no, hoping) Korra would be there. There weren't many other places they could have looked. But he doesn't really get a read on where, from her voice, and is glad that Asami managed to see her and nudge him in the right direction. To which he follows easily.]

Yeah, we've been looking for you everywhere.
